A sports complex spreads out at the foot of Monte Mario which includes the Stadio di Marmi, an athletics ground lined with 60 marble statues donated by Italy’s provinces, the Tennis Centre which annually hosts the BNL Italian Open and the Swimming Stadium.
The complex was designed by Italian Architect Enrico Del Debbio, in the early nineteen twenties and completed for the 1960 Olympic Games.
