L’Ara Pacis è un altare dedicato da Augusto nel 9 a.C. alla Pace
il Senato decise la costruzione nel 13 a.C. di un altare dedicato a tale raggiungimento in occasione del ritorno di Augusto da una spedizione pacificatrice di tre anni in Spagna e nella Gallia meridionale.
