Pinciano – Parioli – Flaminio

Perhaps the most elegant portion of Rome, with its museums, stylish buildings and magnificent villas, Flaminio is historically referred to as the capital’s first district.

Two of contemporary Rome’s most interesting attractions stand out in this district: the Auditorium designed by Renzo Piano and the MAXXI Art Gallery designed by Architect Zaha Hadid.

The Flaminio district is also a favourite among sports enthusiasts given the Flaminio stadium and the Foro Italico sports complex are located here.

Romance is on the other hand in the air in Ponte Milvio, whose lampposts are covered with locks that have been left by couples as a token of everlasting love.

Just a stone’s throw away is the Parioli district where business and residential buildings feature prominently and which is also known by  Romans for its fashionable bars and restaurants.

However  the real “bijoux”  in this part of Rome is without a shadow of doubt Villa Borghese, a  public park offering something for everyone.
