Santa Marinella, the pearl of the Tyrrhenian

 

Santa Marinella, called "the pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea, is known for its archaeological sites such as the domus, the necropolis and fish belonging to the Etruscan and Roman civilizations.
The climate is mild and temperate due to the presence of mountains Tolfa (located some kilometers north-northwest of the city).
The presence of numerous summer residences and Art Nouveau villas overlooking the sea and the many coves, sandy hour hour rock, complete the coastal landscape making it ideal for summer holidays in particular, as to be frequented by the Romans especially during the summer. In the castle you can visit an interesting museum, a videtoteca and a library of 400 volumes, with books about history, archeology and topography of the area cerite - tolfetano - Braccianese, underwater and marine archeology. At the museum are part of tour services, laboratory of experimental archeology, school camps, visits to the remains of sunken Pyrgi, or by dipping the glass bottom boat.
